We are recruiting board members for 2024!
Members of the Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring that STEM Paths Innovation Network (SPIN) fulfills its mission by planning for its future, monitoring its operations and evaluating its performance. The Board of Directors works in close partnership with the Executive Directors who lead the day-to-day operations of SPIN. The Board of Directors is entrusted with fiduciary duties to make choices that safeguard the welfare of the organization’s financial interests.
Want to make a difference?
A SPIN Connect volunteer:
Works with SPIN staff to develop a youth-centered presentation and activity highlighting their education or career for elementary students. Volunteers will lead a 1.5 to 2 hour workshop at least once per quarter for one year’s time.
Our SPIN Girls suite has several volunteer opportunities including:
Hosting a Field Day to teach students about your work and how to build a college/career path to success
Providing informational interviews, job shadows, or internships
We have many other important volunteer opportunities including:
Program Volunteer for SPIN Girls, SPIN Fellows, SPIN Enrich, SPIN Connect
One time opportunities including:
Set up and/or breakdown of events
Inventory and class supply
Curriculum testing and development
